The thing I was most fearful of was the lockers, but the locker areas are amazingly clean, as are the restrooms attached to them. It’s a nice area to put your stuff in, change, and just chill out (though I’m sure it’s more crowded during the summer months). Overall, even though Volcano Bay is fairly new (it opened in May of 2017), it’s still sparking and spotless! The Slides are Fun.

Volcano Bay's star attraction will take you right through the heart of the enormous volcano and will be the first attraction of its kind in Florida. Great fun for the whole family, climb aboard specially designed 4-seater canoes and get ready to twist, turn and plummet through the volcano’s interior peaks and valleys before being launched through the rushing waterfalls.
Volcano Bay Lockers Since we didn’t have a lock box at our general (free) seating, we rented a locker. Up to 4 TapuTapu wearables can be linked to your locker so you don’t have to hunt for the one person in your group who has a key- 4 different people in your group can have that easy access to your locker.

There is no parking directly at Volcano Bay. Instead you’ll be directed to a special section of Universal’s multi-storey car park (unless you’re staying onsite) and take the free shuttle over. This is where security screening and bag check takes place, so if you get caught trying to smuggle a few cheeky brews into the park, as the family in front of us did, you won’t have far to go.
Top Tips for Universal’s Volcano Bay Orlando Stay at one of the Universal Hotels. We stayed at Cabana Bay. Staying at an on site hotel gives you early access to the park. This means first dibs on chairs in a GOOD spot, and you can ride all of the slides before the park gets busy. (same with other parks). It’s SOOOO worth it. Cabana Bay.
This whimsical play structure is the most playful spot in Universal’s Volcano Bay. Puka Uli Lagoon- Perfect kids who are a little older this is a step up from the Runamukka and Tot Tiki Reef area .There are a few interactive spots to use the TapuTapu and it’s located right beside the Ohyah and Ohno Drop Slides so if you have a group with a wide range of ages, this is probably a good spot.
Volcano Bay is a fabulous water park located on universal property, with free access to on-site guests via buses (or you can walk along the paths but it's pretty far from the other parks). The whole water park is built around the premise of the fictional Waturi people and their creation myth, which is intense if you think about all the storytelling that went in to just coming up with the.
At Universal’s Volcano Bay water theme park, the water is delightfully warm during the cooler months—no doubt heated by lava deep below the Krakatau volcano! Krakatau towers 200 feet above the tropical landscape, streaming waterfalls during the day and fiery lava effects at night. Inside the cavernous volcano, the Waturi people dare you to brave a variety of pulse-pounding water slides.

Universal Studios Volcano Bay opened just a few months ago. We went there last week, on Friday, August 11, 2017. I have to admit that I walked in a little apprehensive because there are currently a lot of negative reviews for it on TripAdvisor. But we had bought a vacation package as part of a Mom It Forward Family Forward event and our Volcano Bay tickets were included. I went in thinking.
Currently the free lockers at the Incredible Hulk Coaster use a system that scans your park ticket. The other free lockers use a fingerprint scanner combined with knowing your locker number. Volcano Bay’s paid lockers could certainly utilize the TapuTapu to gain access. I know I’d rather not carry an orange key around my wrist or ankle all.
